Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream (Aunt Sharon's recipe)

 

Ingredients for 4 quarts:

4 eggs

2 1/4 cups sugar

6 1/4 cups milk

2 2/3 cups cream

1 1/3 TBSP vanilla

1/2 tsp salt

Ingredients for 6 quarts:

6 eggs

3 1/3 Cups sugar

9 1/2 cups milk

4 cups cream

2 TBSP vanilla 

3/4 tsp salt

Directions:

Mix and pour into ice cream maker. 

Note: if making Strawberry or fruit ice cream reduce vanilla to 1TBSP
